Hotel Muktangan Chandipur | Best Budget Option for Chandipur Stay | Odisha Tourism | One Of The Best Budget Hotels In Chandipur

I have visited Odisha Many times and i have stayed in OTDC panthashala most of the times.This time while i was looking for a stay in Chandipur,I deliberately wanted to opt for some other hotel just to expirence the service quality of other places.As i have stayed in most of other OTDC facilities i had a fair bit of idea about all of them.So without wasting further time let me directly come to the point.

I am willing to review this hotel based on this following parameters.Do let me know if i need to add few more parameter in future.

Hotel Muktangan,Chandipur

Parameters:

Location:

Hotel Muktangan is just 400 meter away from the sea beach.You can reach there within 10 minutes depending on your walking speed.

Lodging:

The have 4 AC rooms & 5 Non AC rooms as of now.following are the prices of the rooms.

Tariff for "Hotel Muktangan" - For Booking (9831020400)

• AC Room (Double Bed) - Rs 1500
• Non AC Room (Double Bed) - Rs 800
• Non AC Room (Four Bed) - Rs 1500

The rooms are generally clean,although i would like them to upgrade their toilet kits and bedsheets once in a while.Considering the price range,please do not expect much from this hotel expect the basic functions.

Fooding:

I must compliment them for their awesome food quality.The food will actually surprise few of you.Please find the food prices as mentioned below.

You can also purchase fish/prawn/chicken from the local market directly and ask them to prepare it for you.They will probably take Rs 200-300 as cooking charge and you are all set to dig in to these awesome dishes.

• Only Dinner/Lunch Non Veg Meal - Rs 200/Person
• Only Dinner/Lunch Veg Meal - Rs 80/Person

Management:

I have found both Maity Da/Sahu Da who were managing this property  as gentlemen and person with good helpful nature.All their cooking stuffs were awesome and deserves a thumbs up.

If you are looking for a decent budget hotel in Chandipur and wish to have good foods.This hotel is for you.If you are looking for leisure & wish to stay just beside sea beach and need all upmarket Linens,Toilet kits ,Then I am sorry to say this hotel is not for you.

Chandipur:Travel Tips & Comprehensive Guide | Odisha Tourism | Top 5 Beaches of Odisha | Magical Sea Beach of India

"Where can i go this upcoming weekend except Digha/Puri/Mandarmani/Tajpur?"...That is the most popular question which is being posted in almost all popular travel groups in Facebook.So here I am trying to find the answer of this question myself & have decided to visit Chandipur. I strongly believe that Chandipur has the capacity to attract crowds and be a best alternate destination for Bengali's who by now must have got bored by Digha/Mandarmani/Tajpur. Please read on further to know why I  think it is the best go to sea beach destination, if you are looking for something else beside Digha/Mandarmani/Tajpur.


I am intentionally dividing this topic into three articles because, i wish to focus on Chandipur only in this article and you can find all details about possible sight scenes from Chandipur in a different article for which link will be given at the end of this article only.

Brief Information about Chandipur:

Chandipur is in Balasore district of Odisha and it is approximately 257.7 Km from Kolkata & 207.4 Km from Bhubaneswar.Chandipur is famous for its Magical Hide & Seek beach.Please check out all embedded videos and pictures to know more.

Nearest Railway Station : Balasore (13.8 Km)

Nearest Airport : Biju Patnaik International Airport (211.4 Km)

Possible Travel Time from Near by Capital Cities (Train/Car)

• Kolkata to Balasore (By Train) - Approx 4 Hours
• Kolkata to Chandipur (Car/Bus) - Approx 5.5 Hours (Via NH 16)
• Bhubaneswar to Balasore (By Train) - Approx 3.30 Hours
• Bhubaneswar to Chandipur (Car/Bus) - Approx 4 Hours (Via NH 16)

Please note you will cross at least 4 Tolls if you decide to travel by road Via NH 16.Approx Charge for toll will be in the range of Rs 700 to Rs 1000 depending on the type of Car/Bus to and from Chandipur

Possible Transportation Charges from Balasore to Chandipur:

• Winger/Traveler (10 Seater) - Rs 400
• Swift/Other (4 Seater) - Rs 350

If you opt to eat out,then do not think about any other Shop that the Following.The following Shop is just beside sea beach and it is known as "Mousumi Sea Food Hotel" and their contact number is 7809723402.You can alternatively ask for "Khoka Da",who is the owner of this hotel.

The Famous Hide & Seek Beach:

The High Tide normally comes twice a day and you can expect to meet the sea around 8-9 Am in the morning and 7-9 Pm in the evening.There can be a delay of Approx 45 mins everyday depending on various factors.

So if you plan to jump into the sea ,Please plan accordingly

Things to expect beside Sea Beach:

• Goats (Expect them to behave like dogs)
• 2 Coconut water Shops
• Few not so important shops
• 1 great food shop as mentioned above - Mousumi Sea Food Hotel

Optional Sightseeing from Chandipur:

These are the possible places which you can pay a visit from Chandipur.Please check details about all these places in this article here -

• Nilgiri Palace

• Full Day Tour - Rs 3000 (10 Seater)
